Our students in Primaries Six and Seven concluded a most successful fourteen-week swimming programme in Enniskillen’s Lakeland Forum, today.
It has been most heartening and uplifting to witness our children’s increased confidence, competency and proficiency in the water over this time; surely, a vital skill that will serve you well over the years ahead. Congratulations to all for your efforts, hard work and most pleasing attitude and enthusiasm when learning with your swimming teachers. Many students achieved a range of distance and life-saving awards, both today and in recent weeks - well done!
A special word of thanks to several people who made our programme possible: to parents for your support, as ever; to Declan Maguire and his team of dedicated swimming teachers in the Lakeland Forum, including, especially, Mrs Martina Reilly, who always goes above and beyond for the children of St Mary’s; to Mrs McManus and Siobhan in the school office for all your hard work in ensuring the booking of school bus transport each week; to Mrs Gunn for accompanying us and helping look after us every Monday, and to Ian, our bus driver.
