‘And I Just Thank You, Father, for Making Me, Me!’ - Opening-of-New-School-Year Mass 2024
Our school community was delighted to gather together in St Mary’s Church in recent weeks to celebrate Mass and welcome the new academic year of 2024/2025.
Thank you to our students and staff for sharing in the meaningful and uplifting Opening-of-the-New-School-Year Mass. To everyone who read, played music, sang, helped with the booklet and served tea and refreshments, afterwards; thank you!
A special word of appreciation is conveyed to Fr Alwill for leading us in our celebration and helping us reflect on the life and service of St Vincent de Paul, whose feast day we honoured on the day, and to Paddy, our sacristan.
We also extend our thanks to parents, grandparents, other special members of our families and members of our wider community, for joining us at our special Mass, both in the Church and via the webcam.
Well done to our Primary One and Primary Seven friends and ‘buddies’ for leading us in the recessional hymn of the Mass - ‘If I Were a Butterfly’. As we marked the concluding days of the ‘Season of Creation’ 2024, may we always joyfully proclaim, “And I just thank You, Father, for making me, me!”
