Friday, 15th December is surely a day to be celebrated, as our school community shared in a beautiful Carol Service for Advent and Christmas 2023 - ‘Angel Voices Ever Singing’...
Children and staff were delighted to welcome parents, grandparents and other special members of our families, governors and friends, to St Mary’s Church, for this special performance.
With the theme of peace very much at the core of our Service, it was a morning to reflect on the great need and hope for peace in our own hearts and families, in our school and community, and, of course, throughout our world and, most especially, in the Holy Land, at this time.
Through music, song, dance, prayer and story, our children gifted the congregation present in the church and via the church webcam, an uplifting and joyful, reflective and inspirational programme and service. We thank all our children for their wonderful gifts and talents, participation and contributions. You are a credit to your families and St Mary’s.
We pay a special tribute, too, to all our teachers and school staff, for their many talents and creativity, collective efforts, hard work, patience and kindness, in guiding/leading our beautiful children for Friday’s performance; preparing, dressing and cleaning the Church; and organising and distributing tea/coffee and mince pies in school, afterwards. Much appreciation is conveyed to Fr Alwill, Paddy, and Fiona in the Parish Office, also, for your help and support in facilitating our Carol Service in the Church.
We wish peace, good health and blessings to all at this special time and for New Year 2024.
