Celebrating Culture and Success at Feis Lios na Scéithe

27th Nov 2024

Our school community was thrilled to receive very pleasing news in recent weeks in relation to the Own Poetry and Handwriting Sections at Feis Lios na Scéithe.

This, of course, follows a number of our students’ successes in the Verse Speaking and Art/Design categories last month, and which have been shared in a previous post on this website. Many congratulations to all of our students across all categories for your participation, talents and creativity.

In the Primary Three Own Poetry competition, we extend many congratulations to a very talented and delightful member of Mrs Drumm’s Primary Three class - Conleth. Conleth was awarded First Place for his own poem about his dog Flash; well done, Conleth!

A huge word of commendation and admiration goes to our talented Primary Seven student - Eva - who was awarded First Place in the Primary Seven Own Poetry category. In addition, the honour of the Award for Best Overall Own Poem at Feis Lios na Scéithe (across all age groups) was bestowed upon lovely Eva - many congratulations. Eva was also delighted to receive Fourth Place in the Primary Seven Handwriting competition.

Comhghairdeas agus maith sibh is extended to three further delightful girls in Primary Seven for your impressive awards in the Own Poetry section, also; namely, Aoibheann - Second Place; Gracie - Highly Commended; Sapphire - Highly Commended. Well done, girls! You should all be so proud of your achievements.

And, turning, once again, to the Primary Seven Handwriting category, many congratulations to lovely Aoibheann and Ava for your respective individual success! Aoibheann was awarded Third Place in this competition. Ava was delighted to receive her Highly Commended award. Well done to you both.

As ever, we convey a collective word of thanks and appreciation to our parents, families, school staff and the Officers and Committee of Feis Lios na Scéithe, for all the support and encouragement afforded to our students. Go raibh maith agat!
