Celebrating ‘The Daily Mile’ - Santa’s Run 2023!
As Christmas 2023 approaches, our children and staff look forward to sharing fun, faith, peace and happiness, in the days and weeks, ahead.
And so, it was, that those festivities began on Friday, 1st December, with our ‘The Daily Mile’ - Santa’s Run!
Linking in with ‘The Daily Mile’ Network across the north, it was just tremendous to witness our children and staff join together to walk and celebrate ‘The Daily Mile’ in a special way, on Friday! Wearing a wonderful array of Christmas jumpers, hats and other festive regalia, a most enjoyable and memorable morning was held, all the while supporting and reinforcing the importance of physical activity and mental health well-being, in each of our daily lives.
A cup of hot chocolate was very much enjoyed by all, afterwards! Thank you to Mrs Maguire, Ms O’Rourke and all the staff members who kindly organised and distributed same.
Our sincere appreciation, too, to Mrs Prunty, Mrs Rice and Mrs McLaughlin for your dedication and commitment to leading our early-morning walking club on a daily basis, and for organising our certificates, stickers and spot prizes on Friday.
We thank all our children and staff for your continued support and enthusiasm for the fabulous initiative which is ‘The Daily Mile’ and embrace the hugely positive impact on health and well-being for both children and adults.
Please enjoy sharing in our photographs and video of this wonderful morning! A special word of thanks to Ms O’Rourke for all her great efforts in leading the collating and compilation of our video, from photographs and video footage shared by all our class teachers. We trust our video will bring you a smile...
