Wednesday - 28th June 2023 - holds treasured memories for our school community of St Mary’s, as we bid a fond farewell to our delightful Primary Seven students - our Class of 2023...
We gathered together in St Mary’s Church for a special and uplifting Mass of Thanksgiving and Celebration, and thank Fr Alwill and our transitioning students for leading us in our Mass, as all our children and school staff. A word of sincere appreciation to our dear parents, grandparents and other special people in our families; members of our school’s Board of Governors; former pupils of St Mary’s, and members of the wider community, for joining with us in our Mass, as we gave thanks and looked to the future.
To our Class of 2023, we say: “Remember, it is not the goodbyes of today that matter... Rather, it is all the times you said and smiled hello that truly count... Thank you for all you have contributed to St Mary’s, and what your school days have given you. Think of how you have grown, the friendships you have made, the sports played, the debates and discussions, the art and music and history, the competitions and successes and disappointments, the learning both inside and outside of the classroom, and, most importantly, think of the wonderful young person, and people, you are, today...
Our whole school community wish you every peace, blessing, happiness and success in the time ahead.
