We were most delighted to welcome CoreKids to our school, to deliver their ‘Lego Robotics Club’ to children ranging between Primary One and Primary Seven. It is safe to say that everyone loved using their creative minds to build and experiment with Lego, which allows our children to develop their fine motor skills and showcase their engineering prowess, also. It is amazing to see just what we can make and achieve when we put our minds to it!
It was particularly impressive to see the children from Primary Six and Seven develop their coding skills, through the use of the ‘Spike’ app. We look forward to the coming weeks ahead, in which the children will be building and programming a robot, which will be put forward to take part in St Michael’s upcoming robotic’s competition. This is a fantastic initiative that we are very proud to be part of. As we were reminded by many local companies who were in attendance at a recent launch of the competition, ‘This is not only the way of the future, but the way of the now!’
