Feis Fhearmanach - ‘A Creative Community’ - Celebrating Success Together!
Our school community in St Mary’s was delighted to participate in and support Fermanagh Feis once again this year, over recent weeks. We are proud to support the Feis’ ethos and goals as it continues to promote and encourage emerging talent in art, music, dance, poetry and performance in this, the county’s annual arts and culture festival for children and young people, whilst all the while promoting and nurturing our treasured cultural heritage.
Children from across all our classes were enthusiastic to compete in various sections of the Feis, including Art and Design, Verse Speaking and Own Poetry. And, although the primary focus of the Feis is the competitions, we all agree that another important aspect is the emphasis on the community and social benefits, and the platform it provides our children and young people to showcase their talents and develop skills which will enable them to achieve success in so many aspects of their lives.
We congratulate all of our children for your creativity, talents, efforts, hard work and success. We convey a special word of thanks to our school staff and parents for supporting our children, and we say thank-you to the Committee Members of Fermanagh Feis for your collective commitment, hard work and enthusiasm.
