Our P6/P7 girl’s team put in an incredible performance today in Lisnaskea, to claim the Fermanagh Cumann na mBunscol Mini 7’s title. To win a county title, you have to be a fantastic team and our girls are the perfect example of all that is required to be champions. The skill, determination, resilience and heart that each one of them played with is to be commended.
Following group stage wins over Newtownbutler and Tempo, the team qualified for the tournament semi final against a strong Kinawley side. The game was nip and tuck, with St Mary’s Teemore finishing strongly to secure a place in the final.
Tempo awaited us in the final, in a repeat of this year’s indoor football final. Our courageous team battled from start to finish, to secure a two point victory, sending players, parents and teachers into scenes of jubilation.
We couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of you, not only for your performances today, but for the grace you showed in victory towards your opponents. This is the sign of a great team, that we are so proud to call our own.
