During their first week back at school, Mrs Maguire’s class harvested rhubarb and apples from the school garden.
First, we learned how to extract the rhubarb safely from the planting beds and then set about chopping, along with apples for some delicious fruit pies!
The children enjoyed the experience but perhaps their favourite part, was the sampling of the goods!
We are incredibly lucky to have a wonderful garden in our school, which helps support biodiversity and growing vegetables and fruit.
