Last week marked Maths Week Ireland 2023. This year’s theme centred on the Rugby World Cup, which the boys and girls have been following very closely!
We carried out some problem solving activities linked to calculating the points awarded, for each type of score in a rugby match. The pupils worked in pairs, which helped to develop their communication, calculating and reasoning skills.
Teamwork makes the dream work! We realised the importance of how vital these skills are, both on and off the pitch.
