Primary Five care for local wildlife
8th Apr 2025
In line with the RSPB’s annual Birdwatch campaign, the Primary Five class used their genre study of procedural writing, to learn how to make bird feeders and then subsequently, follow instructions to make these at school for our local birds.
The children used a variety of ingredients and carefully had to measure out these according to the recipe, mixing produce which included dried fruit, seeds and fats. Their topic work in Maths, of using and reading scales, came in useful!
As with the frosty weather here in Teemore in recent times, the feeders have been a welcome addition to our school and show us that we can care for God’s creation, doing the most simplest of deeds.
