Primary Four and Six visit Lisnaskea library

25th Feb 2024

Mr Kavanagh’s Primary Four class and Mrs Maguire’s Primary Six class, enjoyed three visits to Lisnaskea library this term.

The visits were designed to educate children regarding the organisation and management of the library, along with fun and interactive activities, which were wholly enjoyed by all the students.

A special word of thanks to Violet Smith, Branch Manager, along with her colleagues, who made us feel so welcome during our visits. She commented on the positive behaviour and level of engagement with the children, which of course does not surprise us!

Lisnaskea library is a modern building, brimming with resources which serves as a vital asset to the local community. Children were delighted to borrow books and browse through their favourite subjects and authors.

We listened to several stories and realised the importance of reading for pleasure, something which is so important for children’s vocabulary development, imagination and comprehension skills.

May we always have the time, to curl up and get lost in the wonderful world of books!
