Congratulations to Rory Drumm, from Mrs Maguire’s Primary Six class, who won the Fermanagh and Omagh council’s Perfect Parks competition.
Prior to designing their parks, Primary 6 were challenged to think of what features would be ideal in order to make the park a great place for everyone to visit and one which was also sustainable and eco-friendly.
Rory was selected from hundreds of applicants for his ideal park which boasted an array of attractions such as an electronically charged go-kart circuit, wildlife pond, coffee shop, wheelchair-friendly park and habitats for local wildlife.
He was presented with a goodie bag from Emmett Brogan of Fermanagh council, which included a beautiful hand made bird feeder, which Rory is going to proudly decorate.
Well done to all the participants for their great work, and in particular to Rory, for a park I’m sure all of us would love to visit in the near future.
