Welcome to St Mary’s, Sister Anna...
‘It’s Time to be Happy’...
Undoubtedly, our wonderful girls, boys and staff members departed our school on Tuesday afternoon, last with an extra little smile, courtesy of lovely Sr Anna!
Our Diocesan Faith Advisor - Sr Anna Smith - was a most welcome visitor to our school.
We say thank-you for her spiritual and enlightening presence in all of our classrooms, her faith, fun and friendship, her sharing of experience and life’s journey, and her gift of song and prayer.
And, of course, her directive to our teachers for ‘no homework!’
Equally, our beautiful children and staff members truly enriched Sr Anna’s day, too. It was most uplifting to witness her speak of our school ethos of respect, kindness, friendship and caring, radiating from every child and classroom.
As she commented, the reception afforded to her in each classroom and in the staff room and playground, left her in no doubt that ‘Grow in Love’ permeates the very fabric of our school... she had no need to look for it in a textbook...
So, thank you to our children and staff. We should all be very proud and pleased, individually and collectively, that Sr Anna so loved her day with us...
