Primary 5 received a special parcel on Monday, full of prizes to acknowledge their winning entries in the annual Young Writer's Association poetry competition.
Each participant received a beautiful, personalised certificate along with a bookmark and sticker, to acknowledge their creative writing talent.
The class had been learning about various forms of poetry and its features, as part of their genre study in September/October of last year. It was heartwarming to see their effort and skill being recognised amongst thousands of entries, from across the country.
Since 1991, the Young Writer’s Association has been promoting and encouraging children’s enjoyment in creative writing. As you can see from the smiles on their faces, the Primary Fives are indeed, very proud of themselves and their wonderful achievement in being a published author!
